Planting Kit - Large Green Basil

Each Vert Bouteille kit is designed so that even beginners can grow beautiful aromatic or flowering plants at home. Our seeds are selected for their hardiness and their ability to thrive indoors or on a balcony.

💧 Watering : Keep the soil slightly moist, but not overwatered. Regular light watering is better than heavy soaking.

☀️ Light : Place your plant in a bright location, ideally near a window. Avoid direct sunlight behind a window, which could burn the young shoots.

🌿 Care : As the plant grows, you can lightly prune it to encourage regrowth. If it becomes too large, transplant it into a larger pot and reuse your glass for a new seed!

♻️ Eco-friendly and sustainable : the upcycled glass included in each kit is designed to last. Reuse it, recycle it, or transform it into a new decorative object – nothing goes to waste at Verre Bouteille.

Large Green Basil , also called " Pistou " in the south of France, is an annual aromatic plant with large, smooth, green, very fragrant leaves.
Often used in Provençal cuisine, basil is a good accompaniment to tomato salads, omelets, fish and as an essential ingredient for making pistou soup or Italian pesto.

It is an aromatic plant about 30cm tall, which can be grown in a pot on a terrace or in a planter on a balcony, but also in open ground.
Growing basil is relatively easy as long as it is placed in the sun.

Native to India, it produces small white flowers when mature.
